"It's a Wonderful Life". 

An original transparent watercolor 22"x16".  I started to plan this picture last December when I saw the marquee with "It's A Wonderful Life" at the Palace in Lockport.  I planned to paint the picture this fall and when Joyce Carol Oats came for an evening talk, I knew that it would be a good time to photograph people in evening light. I found the original posters on-line and put them in the poster holders in front of the building.  The posters were too small to draw, so I traced them and transfered them with special paper.  I think they add a lot to the painting.
