Live On-Line Three Day Workshop - Sept. 18th - 20th

Realistic Watercolor Techniques.

This class will be held in Kathleen's home in Gasport, New York, USA. Students can attend in-person or on-line. In person attendance is limited to 10 students. Monday Sept. 18th -Wednesday Sept. 20th, 9:30 - 4:00. In this class, students will learn realistic watercolor techniques with a focus on value and color unity. The class subjects will be an animal study with a textured background, a simple water reflection and a person's face. Each day's lesson will build the students confidence to mix color and apply paint with a wet-into-wet technique. Each day will begin with a demonstration, then students will have time to paint. This will be repeated throughout the day. Each day will end with a critique for in-person students at 3:30. Online students can email a photo of their work to Kathleen for critique on email. Online students will be able to ask for help and ask questions in real time. 

For this special class, in-person students will have lunch provided. The class will be recorded on zoom and all students will receive the videos to keep as reference. Out of town students can stay at the Cooke's Creekview B & B. , (cookesbb.com) which is only a few minutes from Kathleen's home. A meet and greet is being planned. 

Students will receive the palette and supply list upon registration. The reference photos and an introductory video will be sent to each student by August 15th with plenty of time to prepare your drawings.  

Some previous watercolor experience is necessary 

Refund policy: If for any reason Kathleen is unable to teach the class, the class fee will be returned. If a student cannot attend, no refund will be issued and the student will receive the videos and have a chance for personal critiques with Kathleen.
